Now we are in College Station at the Holiday RV resort just south of town. Here's Buster guarding the park. We'll be here for at least a month before heading off to the north for the summer. This isn't a bad park as far as the amenities go, but the trains are pretty close and frequent and I never knew that drilling an oil well could be quite so noisy 24/7. It's a scraping sound that is coming from just behind the RV park from a new oil well ... but what a noise. I guess drilling through a couple of miles of rock is pretty tough stuff.

And the bluebonnets are really super this year along all of the Texas highways!!

Here's the Flying Scotsman in the garage, so to speak. Here is where most of the repairs were done at the Crestview RV center in Selma, TX. It's convenient for the bus to be located outside where several guys have access and are working on the thing. If you turned around from where I'm taking this photo, that's where we stayed a couple of nights between the repair days.

From there back to the Guadalupe ... what a change.
