Spring in Texas
Here's our friendly Dallas weatherman explaining that the purple blob by the I-35 symbol in the center of the map is directly over Bruce and Jo-Anne's RV. We were to pick up the Flying Scotsman the next Saturday. Our apartment is about 30 miles south of Denton and well out of this area. He is pointing to the "hook" area of this classic pre-tornado type of formation ... yeow.
And this shot below was about a mile east of the Camping World location. At this point, as the RV was parked outdoors, we assumed that it should have been reduced to a very short pile of plastic and metal.
And Mr. Dave saying, "Right below this neat looking cloud you can almost see a Camping World with all their RVs parked in a row. Actually you shouldn't be watching this screen right now ... TAKE COVER NOW!"
Ahhhh ... but the RV gods or goddesses were kind to us again. While we were in the midst of some pretty significant hail and wind (80 mph) the bus remained unscathed with absolutely no indication of any affect whatsoever ... close one though and glad not to be in it!!
