The Fall Plan
As the geese started to arrive in our pond it reminded us that it was time to begin our southward migration as well. Jo-Anne had one more allergy shot in New York on September 18th so we decided to coincide our departure with that trip.
With the US dollar so strong right now the trip to Nova Scotia became a real possibility so the planners hacked out a semi-schedule. Depart Barrie on the 17th for this year, head south to Niagara and leave the bus on the Canadian side, go over get the shot, drink some wine, and then head up through Toronto and guide the Flying Scotsman toward the Halifax area. After that then head down the east coast maybe all the way to Florida but we'll see how that all works out.
So we did our final photo shoots around the Barrie area ...
fed our new friend Stubby (tail whacked off by a squirrel or animal trap) for the last time,
watched the rest of the KOA become more deserted every day,
and had a final luncheon with Jo's brother and father.
Because we remained so busy this year, came later, and are leaving earlier, it really seemed a shorter than normal visit and everyone at the table thought the same. Always a bit of a sad departure but the travel adventure calls and off we go.
Next ... pack up the bus and head south before we head east .... whew!
