Last Post From 2016

 

This is a culinary wrap-up for 2016 as we hosted Leigh and Brooks and grandson Ev out to the Flying Scotsman for New Year's Eve.

 

The blogger above in our spacious kitchen whipping up breakfast crepes that after many tries have become quite good.

Then below, on New Year's Eve knocking out some sizzling fajitas with the wonderful Lake Grapevine view off the patio.

And Everett manning the bug zapper to keep the wasps from enjoying the meat before us.

 

And after the eating, the party houseboat made a pass by our lot blaring Christmas songs as well as rock numbers all at 5,000 watts with 10,000 lights flashing to the beat.

 

And of course, at the Astoria, a meal without wine, is just breakfast.

 

Maybe a mimosa, eh. 2016 was a great year for travel, food, and blogging, so here is a toast to 2017 and further adventures!
